Ruth Coleman MARLOW — As of Saturday, May 10, 2003, M. Ruth Coleman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, has been living in the presence of our Heavenly Father. A celebration of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Fifth Street Baptist Church in Marlow with James Croswell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. Mrs. Coleman came into this world as Minnie Ruth Luttrell on Dec. 12, 1914, in Rush Springs and married Harold L. Coleman on May 17, 1935, in El Reno. Ruth, as she preferred to be called, was employed at the Marlow Clinic and Hospital for many years as a surgical nurse. She was a Marlow resident the majority of her life. She relocated to Oklahoma City in May of 2001 to be near her family. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Kenneth Branstetter of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Julie and her spouse, Don Workman, of Oklahoma City, Mark Branstetter of Oklahoma City, and Eric and his spouse, Cindi Branstetter, of Albuquerque, N.M.; five great- grandchildren, Rayna and her spouse, Matthew Carr, Breezy Savage and Cole Branstetter, all of Oklahoma City, and Adam and Dalton Branstetter of Albuquerque; two sisters, Hazel Bowles of Rush Springs and Lucille Mathis of Roswell, N.M.; and two brothers, Glenn Luttrell of Marlow and Jarold Luttrell of Rock Port, Texas. She was preceded to heaven by her spouse, Harold Coleman, in 1973; her parents, Daniel and Minnie Anna Luttrell, of Ninnekah; a brother, Eldon “Pete” Luttrell of Graham, Texas; four sisters, Gladys Eaves of Iran, Texas, Mabel Giger of Watonga, Ethel Holden of Duncan, and Elsie Doyle of Rush Springs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
