Clark Funeral services for Edith O. Clark, 89, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. in the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Kim Hayes and Larry Hatfield officiating and Rodney Waldron assisting. Clark was born April 8, 1913, in Horatio, Arkansas, to John Darvin Adair and Josephine Allen Adair. She died Thursday, May 23, 2002, in Chickasha. Edith came to Chickasha with her family when she was eight years old. She attended Lucille, Middleberg and Amber Public Schools. She married Sherman M. Clark on April 23, 1932, in Tabler, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker most of her life, where she lived with her family on a farm east of Chickasha. Edith was an Avon sales lady for many years. She also served as a caregiver for others in their homes. Edith enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Bittercreek Home Extension Club. She attended the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers, one sister, and her husband, Sherman, on January 27, 1975. She was also preceded in death by four children, Arnold Eugene Clark, Rheta Lynn Clark, Lyndel Clark and Sherman Lowell "Sonny" Clark, and one great-grandson, Jarrett Lee Frye. Survivors include seven daughters and sons-in-laws, Ruth and James Seale of Bethany, Valerie Dunking, of Oklahoma City, Laurencene and Buddy Collier, of Union City, Ann Fike, of Montgomery, Alabama, Sharon and Pete Martinez, of Moore, LaVonda and Gary Waldron, of Oklahoma City, Gaynl and Ted Sharpe, of Tabler; one special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elton and Lavera Mills; thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Ashley Huynh; and a very special thank you, Dr. Hess, for being my doctor. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
