Comby was born April 22, 1926 and died July 8, 2004 in Leesville, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home ========== =========== The Chickasha Express-Star 12 July 2004 HARVEY COMBY Graveside services for Harvey Comby, 78, of Many, Louisiana, formerly of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Harvey Comby was born April 22, 1926, in Chickasha, the son of Henry and Alice Comby. He died Thursday, July 8, 2004, in Leesville, Louisiana. He graduated from Chickasha High School, then served in the U.S. Navy V-12 Program during World War II then graduated from Oklahoma University as a petroleum engineer. He spent much of his life with Texaco in Latin America and at his retirement was General Manager in Peru. After retirement he did consult work in Africa and Brazil. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Beryl Leek, Doris Comby and Jean Cramer, his twin brother, Hank and brother, Jack. Survivors include his wife Vicky, of Many, Louisiana; four children and ten grandchildren, Alicia, her children, Sarah and John, Kit and Katwing, their children, Kara and Kodie, Dani and Pat Havens their daughter, Marilla, Henry and Pam and their children, Stephanie, Jason and Kaycee, a sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and O'Quinn Dunn and a brother Bill, along with eight nieces and nephews. He considered Jo Ann Guidry family and Kimberly and Alice granddaughters. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Louisiana Lions Camp, 292 L. Beauford Drive, Leesville, Louisiana, 71446 or Sabine Humane Society, 1837 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana, 71449.
