All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 24 December 2003 LOLA LEE GROSECLOSE CHAMBLESS Lola Lee Groseclose Chambless passed away December 23, 2003, at 5:11 a.m. in the Duncan Regional Hospital. Services will be at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, with Rick Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Lola Lee Groseclose was born January 19, 1930, in Anadarko, OK, to Charlie Groseclose and Edith Nelson Groseclose. She attended Cement School and graduated from there in 1949. After graduation she worked as a telephone operator in Cement and Chickasha. On May 25, 1951, she married Bob Chambless in Chickasha, OK, in the home of George and Fredda Lancaster. She later worked as a secretary at OTASCO and was a homemaker. Mom was a great cook, whose specialties included homemade cinnamon rolls, pies and spaghetti sauce. Nanny always had caramel apples for her grandkids on Halloween, no matter how old they were. Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home; two sons and daughters- in-law: Dana and Kim Chambless of Duncan, Mike and Carla Chambless of Farmersville, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Todd Vinson of Duncan; five grandchildren: Jason Chambless and his wife, Brandi, of Cartwright, OK, Bree Chambless, Carly Chambless, Jaci Vinson, and Rowdy Vinson of Duncan; one great granddaughter, Madison Brooke Chambless of Cartwright, OK; one sister, Virginia King and her husband, Bob, of Oklahoma City; two sisters-in-law: Alma Lawrence of Noble and Shirley Chambless of Duncan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Hazel, and her brother, Walter. Family will receive visitors on Friday, December 26, 2003, from 6-8 p.m. at the Grantham Funeral Home.
