Susie Canary was born December 30, 1926 in Tuttle, and died Saturday January 29, 2005 in Oklahoma City. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. ========== Tuttle Times 2 February 2005 SUSIE CANARY Graveside services for Susie Canary, 78, of Blanchard were held at 1:30 pm Tuesday February 1, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Susie Canary was born December 30, 1926 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Fred and Savannah (Rowell) McBride. She died Saturday, January 29, 2005 in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She had lived around Tuttle all of her life and attended Tuttle Schools. Susie liked to camp, fish, cook, and go to garage sales. She also enjoyed yard work, shopping, eating out and playing games. She enjoyed being with her family. She and Osten Canary were married April 30, 1946 in Chickasha. He preceeded her in death. She was also preceeded in death by her parents; one son: Osten L. Canary; one daughter: Margarete Canary; two brothers: Jack McBride and Elzie "Pat" McBride; and one sister: Mary Holsey. Survivors include: one daughter: Margie Canary of Blanchard; three brothers and their wives: Lee and Betty McBride of Tuttle, James and Beth McBride of Oklahoma City, Myrl and Gloria McBride of Oklahoma City; one sister: Sarah Defibaugh of Oklahoma City; three sister in laws: Maudeen McGregor of Tuttle, Violet Canary of Blanchard, Laura Carter of Stroud, Oklahoma; two brother in laws: Finis Canary of Blanchard, Gerald Don Canary of Fairland, Oklahoma, two grandchildren: Samantha and Lane Woods of Union City; several nieces, nephews and cousins .
