All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Chickasha Daily Express, Tues., Jan. 18, 1972 Carrel (Mike) Carpenter Funeral service for Carrel (Mike) Carpenter, 54, 2027 South 15th, who died this morning in Grady Memorial Hospital, are pending and will be announced later by Sevier Funeral Home. Mr. Carpenter was born Feb. 1, 1917, at Alex. He was married to Janice Young on Oct. 31, 1945, at Ville Platt, La. He was a resident of Waurika for 15 years and had been a resident of Chickasha for the past 25 years. He formerly owned and operated the Carpenter Sewing Center in Chickasha. He was employed with the Oklahoma Tax Commission, in the state enforcement division where he had been working for the past five years. Mr. Carpenter was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Janice, of the home; one son, Mickey Carpenter Jr. of Vallejo, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Janette Gail Bahr of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Barbara Wilson of Duncanville, Tex., and Miss Patricia Carpenter of Chickasha; one brother, Howard Carpenter of Chickasha; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Davis and Mrs. Almeta Webb, both of Chickasha; and three grandchildren.
