Laverne Nettie Christian

Laverne N. Christian, 84, went to be with her Lord January 16, 2007. 
She was born in Minco, Oklahoma February 18, 1922 to George W. and 
Ella M. Coley, who preceded her in death. She met her future husband, 
Charles H. Christian while he was in the Marines and they were 
married upon his return from overseas on July 3, 1947. They had one 
son, Steve S. Christian. She and Charles enjoyed traveling and 
visited most of the 50 states. She is survived by her husband, 
Charles; son, Steve of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Lawanda McKinney 
of Tuttle, Oklahoma; two brothers, James E. Coley and wife Bonnie of 
Yukon, Oklahoma, Lawrence L. Coley and wife Delores of Del City, 
Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 
10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2007 at Council Road Baptist Church 
with interment in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
