All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Star 24 December 1966 CRUTCHFIELD SERVICES HELD THURSDAY Funeral services for Charile Crutchfield were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. A. B. Hickman, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Dale Henricks, Mrs. Chester Heavins, Mrs. Harry Dodson and Mrs. E. E. Gibson, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Brown at the piano, sang "Beyongthe Sunset," "Beautiful Isle" and "In the Garden." Active casket bearers were Newell Smith, Johnny McFarren, Jack Chappel, Alvin Deason, Leo Talkington and Harold Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers were E. E. Hinkle, Roy Beavers, Art McVey, Parker Woodall and Don Brown. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen Funeral Home. Crutchfield was born Jan. 25, 1901 in Rogers County. He was married to the former Miss Noma Craddock on Oct. 22, 1922 in Claremore. They lived near Borger, Texas until 1964 when he retired and they moved to Verden. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He died early Tuesday morning of a sudden heart attack. Survivors include his wife, Noma, of the home; one son, Roy Glen Crutchfield of Amarillo; one daughter, Mrs. Nelda Faye Smith of Fairview; one brother, Cub I.
