Mr. Crumm died 06-Oct-1986 at Chickasha. Rev. John Freeman, pastor of the Southern Hills Baptist Church officiated, assisted by Rev. Jack Pilgrim. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Minco under the direction of the Sevier Funeral Home. Organist was Mrs. Ken Singleton and soloist was Sherry Freeman. Pallbearers were Steven Allen, Felix Chaney, W.L. Chaney, Dan Parish, Phillip Voegeli and Gus Boatman. Crumm was born 15-Oct-1895 at Anutt, Dent county, Mo. He married in 1916 Polly Newberry near Verden. He came to Oklahoma at the age of 17 and settled near Verden. He later moved to the Minco area where he lived until moving to Chickasha in 1974. He was a horse trainer and farmer. He was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his wife in 1959 and one infant daughter, Violet Crumm. Survivors include two daughters, June Franklin of Las Cruses, N.M., and Eula Cheek Sprowls of Chickasha; three sons, Harvey L. Crumm of Alvin, Texas; J.D. Crumm of Chickasha and Ivan Crumm of Minco; thirteen grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
