All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Evergreen Cemetery--Minco OK LAVERTA "JEAN" DAVIS Surname: DAVIS, BEATY, CHARLTON, OGLE, COTTON, HORN, PETERSON, DOBSON Funeral services for Laverta "Jean" Davis, 70, of Minco, will be held Thursday, April 24, 1997, at 2 p.m., in the First Baptist Church of Minco, with Rev. Sam Scott officiating. Laverta Jean Beaty was born Aug 20, 1926, east of Minco, the daughter of Brant Floyd and Myrtle Victoria (Charlton) Beaty, and died April 21, 1997, at her home in Minco. Jean had lived in the Minco community all of her life. She married Herbert Felix Davis on Sept. 18, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1976. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minco and had worked at the Minco Gas Authority as a clerk for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roy Beaty. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pam Davis of Minco; three daughters and sons-in-law, LaFonda Jean and Clifton Ogle of Oklahoma City, Karen and Scott Cotton of Oklahoma City, and JoAnn and Fred Horn of El Reno; two sisters, Erma Peterson of Kemp, Texas, and Blanche Dobson of Wynnewood, Okla; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
