Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, 4200 Camp Bowie Boulevard. The service will begin with an organ recital of music in celebration of Johnnie's life. Interment: Mrs. Davis was buried April 19, 2005, in a private service at Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials: Those desiring to do so may present gifts in her memory to Arlington Heights United Methodist Church or a charity of choice. Johnnie was born in Chickasha, Okla., the daughter of John Franklin and Lela Lenora Cely. She lived in Dalhart, Palestine, Jacksonville, Texas, and Gurdon, Ark. She graduated from Jacksonville High School. Johnnie was active for many years at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, where she served several terms as president of the friendship class. The family expresses its deep appreciation for the loving care and support provided to Johnnie by the staff of Vitas Hospice Care and Stonegate Nursing Center. She was the widow of Franklin Campbell Davis, a printer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram from 1939 until his retirement in 1971. Survivors: Daughter, Joanne Davis Harman of Mesquite; son, John Franklin Davis of Fort Worth; sister, Dorothy Parsons of Shreveport, La.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
