All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Fairview Cemetery--Tuttle OK BENNIE MORGAN DOUGLAS Surname: DOUGLAS, FRENCH, JEFFRIES, HAMMER Bennie Morgan Douglas, 65, Tuttle, died Wednesday, January 3, 1973, in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha, following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1907, in Chickasha, the son of Robert Hugh and Louella (French) Douglas. Funeral service for Mr. Douglas will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church, Tuttle. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier's Tuttle Funeral Home. Mr. Douglas moved to Tuttle in 1929 and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tuttle, Grady County Cattlemen's Association, on the board of directors of Farmers Co-op, the Grady County ASCS board and had been on the school board at Tuttle for 15 years. He was married to the former Opal Jeffries on March 3, 1928, in Enid, Okla. Survivors include his wife, Opal, of the home in Tuttle; five sons, Raymond of Minco, Bobby, Gene, Donnie and Everett M., all of Tuttle; two brothers, Harmon of Tuttle and Calvert of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mrs. Stella Hammer of Casa Grande, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
