(JEFFRIES) DOUGLAS Surname: DOUGLAS, JEFFRIES, EDWARDS, SMITH Funeral for Opal L. (Jeffries) Douglas, 83, Tuttle, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 1990, in the First Baptist Church in Tuttle. Rev. Travis Hannah, pastor, will be officiating, assisted by Rev. Stanley Daniel. Opal was born on April 16, 1907 in Glenpool, and died Monday, May 21, 1990, in Chickasha. She and Bennie Morgan Douglas were married March 3, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Douglas came to Tuttle in 1928 and had lived in Tuttle since that time. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tuttle. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild. Survivors include five sons, Bobby C. Douglas of Lindsay, Bennie R. Douglas of Minco, Everett M. Douglas, Gene Douglas, Donald L. Douglas, all of Tuttle; two brothers, Everett Jeffries of Amber and Olen Jeffries of Farmington, N.M.; two sisters, Mary Edwards of Tuttle, Ida Smith of Lemon Grove, Calif., 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle.
