R. E. DODSON Funeral services for Mrs. R. E. Dodson were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. C. W. Taylor officiated and Rev. G. W. gaidaroff, pastor, assisted him. Music for the service was furnnished by Mrs. J. N. Kern, Mrs. C. W. Hamil, Mrs. Donald Brown and Miss Nan Bilbrey, who sange "Old Rugged Cross," "In The Garden" and "No Night There." Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey played the piano. Casket bearers were Roy Hamrick, Alfred Walker, Lee Fowler, Debs Patterson, R. L. Berger and C. B. Dabney. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Ada June Burnett was born Sept. 9, 1872 at Granbury, Texas and passed away Sept. 2, 1961 at 1:20 a.m. in the Chickasha hospital at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 23 days. She was married to Robert E. Dodson in 1869 at Granbury, Texas. To this union 9 children were born, 8 of whom are now living. She was a member of the Baptist Church and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors are 3 daughters: Mrs. Emma Henry, Mrs. Dora Dorris and Ms. Cecil Simmons, all of Verden; 5 sons: Frank of Okla. City; Andy of Los Angeles, Calif.; Harry E., Joe and Howard Dodson of Verden. Three sisters, Mrs. Helen Hutson of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Leah Hostler of Davenport, Iowa and Mrs. Florence Jones of Verden. Also eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
