"Delk Services Were Saturday in Chickasha Funeral services for Henry Greene Delk, 76 of Rush Springs, were held Saturday, April 23, 1988 at 1;30 pm from the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha. Rev. Bill Emert of Oklahoma City officiated with Ron Morton, assisting. Delk was born January 9, 1912 in Frederick and died Thursday, April 21, 1988 in Oklahoma City. He had lived in the Ninnekah area for about 50 years before moving to Rush Springs in 1981. Delk and Lucy K. Schrick were married on October 25, 1932 in Mangum. Delk had farmed at Frederick and Ninnekah and retired in 1977 from the Norge Gas Plant at Ninnekah. He had worked there for 23 years. He was preceded in death by two children; Thomas Burton Delk and Mary Alice Delk. Survivors are his wife, Mary, of the home; five sons, Joe of Oklahoma City, Earl of Duncan, Mickey of Rush Springs, Sammy of Chickasha and Carl of Norman; 3 daughters, Alma Turner of Duncan, Kathy Hale and Mary Kay Christain both of Ninnekah; one brother, Mac T. Delk of Ninnekah; one sister, Lillian Morton of Oklahoma City; twenty two grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Organist was Ima Jean Rice and soloist was Steve Wendt.
