Death Claims Prominent
Woman of Verden

Mrs. Julia Dempsey passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. G. 
Ransbarger, Wednesday morning about 5 a. m.  Mrs. Dempsey has been in 
declining health for several years, but bedfast the past few months.

During her illness she remained very cheerful, never complaining to her many 
friends who visited her from time to time.  She was a sweet Christian woman, 
active in all promotions of the Methodist church of which she was a member.  
She has served as president of the Woman's Home Missionary Society, teacher 
in the Sunday school, you could always find Mrs. Dempsey among the regular 
attendance of the Sunday school and church services as long as her health 
permitted.

The funeral service was held at the Methodist church Thursday, October 12 at 
3 o'clock.
