Funeral services for James Robert Dempsey, 62, will be held at 3 p. m. 
Saturday in the chapel of the Chickasha Funeral Home. Interment will be 
at Verden. Mr. Dempsey died at 7:25 p. m. Wednesday in his home at 
Pocasset. He was born in Charlton county, Missouri, June 26, 1891. He 
came with his parents to Oklahoma in 1901 and had resided in Grady 
county since that time.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie of the home; two sons, J. R. Dempsey, 
Jr. of Stillwater and William "Buddy" Dempsey of Chickasha; one sister, 
Mrs. F. G. Hambarger of Chickasha and two grandchildren.
