Born 20 Feb 1895 Lynn County, MO. Died 22 Nov 1977 Oklahoma City, OK. Mrs. Ivy Calista (Eldred) Dennis Funeral service for Mrs. Ivy Calista Eldred Dennis, 82, will be at 4 p.m., Friday, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Avery, Pastor of the Draper Park Christian Church, in Oklahoma City, will officiate. She was born Feb 20, 1895, in Lynn County, MO. She died Tuesday in the Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She moved from Missouri to Anadarko in 1901 and to Chickasha in 1902. She and William I. Dennis were married on Jan 4, 1916. He preceded her in death Jan 20, 1975. Mrs. Dennis was employed at Hoover's Cleaners and Merle Norman Cosmetics until her retirement in 1965. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She had lived in Oklahoma City the past two years and had been in failing health for the past year. She is survived by one son, George J. Dennis of Oklahoma City, three daughters, Mrs. Louise Clarke and Mrs. Marie Biggerstaff, both of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Pauline Williamson of Great Bend, Kansas, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
