Wallace Bruce "Bud" Dyer 
 
There are no services scheduled for Wallace Bruce Dyer, 79, of Chickasha.

Wallace Bruce Dyer was born on May 3, 1922, the son of John Lawrence 
Dyer and Eva Christine Johnson Dyer. He died on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, 
in Chickasha.

Bud was born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone where he enjoyed sailing 
and fishing. He met and married Genevieve Marchildon there. Gen preceded 
Bud in death 4 years ago. They were married for 54 years and had 4 children: 
Eric Dyer of Livermore, CA, Deborah Dyer, who died at age 2, John Dyer of 
Chickasha, OK, and Beverly Whitcomb of Sacramento, CA. Bud loved his 
grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride: Marc, Jennifer, Kevin, 
Meghan, Kellen, Mallory, Justin and Adam.

Bud lived most of his live in Concord, CA, where he was employed as an 
electrician. He was a 60-year member of the IBEW and spent many years in 
leadership positions for Local 302 of Martinez, CA. After retirement, Bud 
and Gen moved to Cameron Park, CA. They enjoyed many years of travel in 
their motorhome. After Gen's death, Bud moved to Chickasha.

Bud had a great sense of humor and made many lasting friendships over the 
years. Dad, thanks for all of your love and support. We look back and 
realize how fortunate we were growing up. We will never forget all of the 
family vacations to Minnesota, visits to many different states, camping 
trips and water-skiing trips. We love you, and we're happy you're with Mom.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu 
of flowers, donations can be sent to: The Chickasha Community Theatre 
"Building Fund" in care of Gary Tims, First National Bank, PO Drawer 
1130, Chickasha, Oklahoma 73023.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
