::Verden Cemetery--Verden OK

The Verden News
November 28, 1930


George Thomas Dry, born at Memphis, Tennessee, October 5th, 1862, passed 
away at his home 4 miles north and west of Chickasha November 13th, 
1930, aged 68 years, 1 month and 8 days.

He was married to Mrs. Anna Sessumes at Wise county, Texas in 1886; to 
this union were born 8 children and 6 of whom preceded their father to 
the better world. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss a devoted wife and 
two daughters, Mrs. Maud Platt and Mrs. Ollie Cannon both of Verden, 
also a number of grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services 
were conducted Saturday by Rev. Taylor officiating. Interment was made 
in Verden cemetery.
