"Services Held for Oscar N. Dryden Funeral services for Oscar N. Dryden, 78, father of W.D. Dryden of Rush Springs will be held Thursday, August 14, in the Chickasha Funernal Home. Rev. Earl Walker, pastor of the Epworth Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha. Mr. Dryden died in his home in Chickasha Monday at 10:15 pm. He had been bedfast for the lst four months and in poor health for three years. He served as city marshal of Rush Springs and farmed near here until 1919 when he moved to Chickasha. Suvivors include three daughters, Mrs. Irene Harris of Raton, New Mexico, Mrs. Lina Harris of Bellflower, California and Mrs. Nora Dorman of Tucson, Arizona; two sons, Lee of Chickasha and Glenn of Los Angeles, California; four brothers; one sister; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren." --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
