"Funeral Services Held For Grover Cleveland Delay Funeral services for Grover Cleveland Delay were held a the Church of Christ Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., Rev. Leroy Cowan officiating. Bill Heilman led the song service with 'What a Friend' and 'Sweet by and By'. The interment was in the Rush Springs cemetery. Grover Cleveland Delay was born at West Plains, Missouri, October 19,1894 and departed this life October 19, 1949 in the University Hospital, Oklahoma City at the age of 56 years. He spent the greater part of his life near Rush Springs. He was married to Florence Hart on August 26, 1913. To this union was born three children. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Delay of Rush Springs; one daughter, Mrs. M.D. Gilbreath of Rush Springs; two sisters, Bertha Wilhite of Cortez, Colorado, and Lara Doss of Mt. Home, Idaho; and four brothers, N.H. Delay of McPherson, Kansas, E. R. Delay of McPherson, Kansas, W. N. Delay of Long Beach, California, and John Delay of Melton, Oregon.
