Ewy Funeral service for Billy J. Ewy, 66, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Billy J. Ewy was born June 20, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Henry J. and Eva (Tillman) Ewy, and died Monday, February 18, 2002, in Oklahoma City. Mr. Ewy lived in Chickasha for almost 40 years. He rodeoed as a bareback rider and was Mighty Mite coach for the Cowboys team for over 10 years. He was a truck driver for Chickasha Mobile Homes, worked at Totsie Rains Appliance Service Center and was currently head custodian at Southwest School. He married Fleeta Bubsy February 5, 1970. He served in the military as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division (Angels) at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. Survivors include; his wife: Fleeta Ewy, of the home; 4 sons: Kenzel Ewy, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Brandon Ewy, of Hinton, Oklahoma, Jimmy Ewy, of Oklahoma City, Ronny Ewy, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, including Berlynn and Keiser Ewy, of Verden, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
