All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Star 19 May 1966 EVANS SERVICES HELD Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Bell Evens were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Edward Whitley, pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God, officiating. Mrs. Aubrey Finley, Mrs. Harry Dodson, Mrs. Dale Henricks and Mrs. Chester Heavin, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Brown at the piano, sang "Beautiful Isle," "No Night There," and "Where We'll Never Grow Old." Pallbearers were the deceased's nephews, Arnold Henry, Ernest Henry, Tommy Baker, DonaldHenry, John G. Whitley and Willard Henry. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home. Mary Belle Jenry was born March 4, 1890 in Grant County, Ark. She came with her parents to Oklahoma in 1893 and moved to Verden in 1901. She was married to Ernest Evans September 14, 1912 in Anadarko. She was a school teacher for 25 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. She passed away May 12 in Grady Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Evans of Chickasha; four brothers, Ben C. Henry, Albert W. Henry and Walter M. Henry, all of Verden, and Lee Patrick Henry of Chickasha. Those from out of two here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Baker of Carnegie, Mrs. Ruth Hatfield and family of Lone Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Hatfield of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mr. and MRs. Arnold Henry and family of Lovington, N.
