Nelta Jo Elliott was born Aug 9, 1943, and died on Sunday, April 28, 2002. Burial will be in Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. =============== The Chickasha Express-Star 1 May 2002 Nelta Jo Elliott Funeral service for Nelta Jo Elliott, 58, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Nelta Jo Elliott was born August 9, 1943, in Seiling, Oklahoma, the daughter of Vernon and Geneva (Bolin) Brown, and died Sunday, April 28, 2002, in Chickasha. Nelta moved to Chickasha from Hobart in 1956. She and Vernon Elliott were married December 12, 1958, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. They divorced in September of 1979. Nelta worked at Pet Inc. from June 2, 1980, until the closing of the plant in 1995. She went to work for Lopez Food in Oklahoma City in 1997, where she was presently employed. She was preceded in death by two sons: Vernon Lee Elliott, Jr. and Donnie Elliott; and her parents, Vernon and Geneva Brown. Survivors include: 3 daughters: Leona Null and husband Teddy, of Alex, Oklahoma, Rhonda Durham and husband James, of Dibble, Oklahoma, Vicki Elliott, of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren: Leslie Meeks and husband, David, and Autom Elliott, of Alex, Oklahoma, Winter Elliott, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Dakota Elliott and Chaz Chaffin, of Chickasha, Dallas Durham, of Dibble, Oklahoma, Amber Black and Kimberly Ryan, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; one great grandson, Bay Lee Meeks, of Alex, Oklahoma; 2 adopted grandsons: J. C. Good and Steve Carey, of Chickasha; one sister, Ellen Batty, of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.
