Elliott Funeral services for Jeanne Renee Elliott, 57, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, January 3, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church with Randy Talley officiating. Jeanne Renee Elliott was born March 6, 1945, daughter of John C. Smith and Ruth (Watts) Smith. She died December 27, 2002, in Tulsa, following a brief illness. After graduating from Clinton High School, Jeanne attended SWOSU and received her Bachelor's Degree in 1968. She married W.D. "Tex" Elliott on September 15, 1968. She was a homemaker in Altus where she was a devoted wife and mother. In 1997, she and her family moved to Chickasha. Jeanne was very involved with her family. She was always there when anyone needed her. She had recently begun substituting at Lincoln Elementary, where her daughter teaches. She loved all the children at Lincoln. They gave her so much joy. She was happiest when she was with people whom she adored so much. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ida Robertson and her brothers Tom and Jack Smith. Survivors include her husband Tex of the home; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Chris Jarvis; birth parents John and Ruth Smith, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sisters Mary Anne Murrah, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary and Larry Beamguard, Judy and Jimmie Holloway, Sarah Tackett, and Charlie and T.J. Smith, all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Ott Elliott, Jr. and wife Bobbi; many nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends. Friends and family are invited for visitation to be held Thursday, January 02, 2003, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Elementary School, 103 Dakota, Chickasha, Oklahoma 73018.
