ELLIOTT, JR. Cremation with no public services was the choice of John S. Elliott, 73, of Chickasha. John S. Elliott, Jr. was born October 3, 1932, in Chickasha, the son of John and Zada (Halloway Elliott. He died October 27, 2005, at his home in Chickasha, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools. John loved to cook and was an avid reader. His favorite book was the Bible. He would regularly read and quote Bible scripts. He was always telling Barbara what the Bible said about life. He enjoyed making people laugh. He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers: Lamar and George Elliott; two sisters: Edith and Mattie Williams. John left to cherish one daughter, Mary Alice; two sisters and brothers- in-law: Gwendolyn and Ollie Davis, of Georgia, and Barbara and Floyd Irby, of Flint, Michigan; special nephew and niece, Kenneth and wife Barbara, of Flint, Michigan; special friend, Willis Taylor, of Chickasha; and a host of other relatives and friends.
