Early, age 64, will be held Friday morning, February 18, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindsay Church of Christ. Mr. Early was a resident of Alex, Oklahoma, and had many friends throughout this area. Mr. Early passed away Tuesday morning at the home of his son in Stillwater while recovering from heart problems. Winans Funeral Home of Maysville is in charge of arrangements. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 23 February 2005 ALAN GRANT EARLY Alan Grant Early was born October 7, 1940 at Amber, Oklahoma to Raymond John and Doris Shipley Early. He died February 15, 2005 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at age 64. Alan Early grew up in the Amber, Oklahoma area and attended school and graduated high school there about 1957. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and became a Dairy Inspector and later Sanitarian for the State of Oklahoma. On December 24, 1969, he married Florence Brown of Wagoner and they have lived in the Alex area for a number of years. Florence preceded him in death in 2004. Alan enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his dogs Zeus and Paige. He was a member of the Lindsay Church of Christ and was a great friend to many. Survivors include two children, J. W. Early and his wife Lyn of Stillwater and Erin Early also of Stillwater; his mother, Doris Early of Chickasha; two brothers, Larry Early and his wife Maureen of Edmond and Paul Early and his wife Ginger of Muskogee; cousins, Sandra Reichart and her husband Bill of Lawton and many nieces and a great number of friends of the family. Alan is preceded in death by his father and wife Florence. Memorial services were held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. February 18, 2005, at the Lindsay Church of Christ, with Doug Stiles, Brant Stubblefield and Jim Sheerer officiating.
