All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rush Springs Cemetery--Rush Springs OK Rush Springs Gazette Dec 5, 1974 Funeral Services were Saturday for Verd Foster Funeral services for Verd William Foster were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Church of Christ in Rush Springs with Clif Werhan minister of the church officiated. Foster 71, died Thursday Nov 28 at 4:30 a.m. at home in Rush Springs of a heart attack. He was born Jan 6 1903 in Gainesville, Texas, and had lived here since 1923. He was married in Chickasha on March 18, 1927 to Callie Lee Parish. He was a deacon in the Church of Christ. Foster retired in 1967 after working 23 years for Grady County Commissioner District 3. He served with the Rush Springs fire department for 21 years. Burial was in the Rush Springs Cemetery under direction of the Calloway- Smith Funeral Home. Pall bearers were J.R. Cast, Allan Winham, Elton Teel, Bob Shaw, Spencer Bernard, and Herschel Wilburn. Survivors include his wife Callie of the home address, a foster daughter Mrs. Jean Bowles of Ft worth TX; 3 foster grandchildren also of Ft.
