Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. ====================================================================== The Verden News April 6, 1934 Donald, the 7 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fitzgerald passed away at the General Hospital at Chickasha Sunday, April 1. Donald had been ill a short time with his tonsils which later developed into a serious stage which caused his death. Donald was in his second grade at school here and was a very likeable child among his playmates, and a shining little star in his home, his parents, one brother and one sister will miss his presence far more than his playmates. The pall bearers for the funeral were boys from the grade school; most of the pupils from the grade school attended in a body. The sermon was preached by Rev. C. W. Taylor at the Baptist church at 230 o'clock Monday afternoon. Donald Eugene was born north of Verden, June 16, 1926, and was 7 years, 9 months and 15 days old. He leaves to mourn his departure, his father and mother, one brother, Douglas and one sister, Mary, also a host of relatives and friends. Burial was made in the Verden cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Submitted by Sandi Carter
