Pete was born in Alex, Okla. September 24, 1932. He was the son of Ed Fields and Lottie (Foster) Fields. Pete moved to California with his parents at an early age. He was a construction worker and retired in Gardena, California in 1997. He was active at his local V.F.W. Pete served two tours of duty in the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star; Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother Jack Fields, sister Corky DeGuire; one nephew Dick DeGuire. He is survived by one sister Aileen (Fields) Trent of Phillipsburg, Mo.; uncle, Bill Fields of California; aunt, Virginia Howard of Chickasha, Okla.; four nephews; one niece; five great nephews; two great nieces; one great great niece; two great great nephews and other relatives who will miss him very much. Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery, Saturday October 9, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. conducted by Bro.
