Walter Felton was born July 25, 1921, and died on Monday, May 24, 2004. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 25 May 2004 WALTER "SCOTTY" FELTON Funeral service for Walter "Scotty" Felton, age 82, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate. Walter was born the son of Charles Wilburn Felton and Rubie Harris Felton on July 25, 1921, in Childress, Texas. He died on May 24, 2004, in Norman, Oklahoma. Scotty grew up in Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Scotty served in the Philippines and New Guinea. He served as a truck driver, military police, and a jeep command care driver for General Mark Clark. Scotty married Martha "Elaine" Harris on December 11, 1962, in Cordell, Oklahoma. They lived in Childress, Texas, where Scotty was a farmer and rancher. In 1980, they moved to Chickasha where they attended the Grand Assembly of God Church. Scotty's hobbies were rodeo, "southern" engineering, football, camping and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Dourghty, Thomas "Buster," Harris and Jack Felton, three sisters, M.A. Mills, Ruby Shirley, and Katherine "Kat" Moore, and one grandson, Randell Shelton. Survivors include: his wife, Martha "Elaine" Felton of the home; son, Kenneth Wayne Malone of Childress, Texas; daughter, Barbara Ann Ramsey of Oklahoma City; daughter, LaDonna Grant of Chickasha; daughter, Ruby Elaine Felton of Amber; granddaughter, Sheila Hoselton of Port Ludlow, Washington; granddaughter, Kelly Gregory of Moore; granddaughter, Crystal Merrick of Blanchard; two great grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews and foster children. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
