Charles Richard Fowler, Jr. was born April 23, 1953, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles R. (Dick) Fowler and Lois Lawson. He died Friday, May 14, 2004, at this home near Rush Springs. Mr. Fowler grew up attending the Alex Schools; he attended College at OSU and USAO. He had roughnecked in the oilfield, barned hay for area farmers, trucked and sold hay in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Kansas. He raised cattle and farmed in the Alex, Rush Springs area. As a child he showed cattle all over the United States. He married Anita Whitlow December 13, 1995, in Rush Springs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Lawson, and by one brother, Brad Fowler. Survivors include his wife, Anita Fowler, of Rush Springs; two sons, Harley Fowler and Curtis Bilyeu, of Rush Springs; daughter, Katlyn Fowler, of Rush Springs; his father, Dick Fowler, of Rush Springs; and stepsister Michelle Pledger of Oklahoma City. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. ========= USAO News FOWLER, Charles R.
