Ford was born January 30, 1950, and died Friday, October 4, 2002. ===== The Chickasha Express-Star 7 October 2002 JAMES ERNEST (JIMMY) FORD Funeral services for James Ernest (Jimmy) Ford, 52, of Chickasha, were held Monday, October 7, 2002, at the Epworth United Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Kim Hayes and Reverend Kim Dominique officiating. Jimmy was born January 30, 1950, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the son of Jim and Emma Laura Hulsey Ford. He died Friday, October 4, 2002, at his home in Chickasha. Jimmy came to Chickasha with his parents in 1952. He attended Chickasha schools and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1968. He graduated from Oklahoma University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was active in Boy Scouts, Little League Baseball and was a member of the high school Varsity Baseball Team. Jimmy was a commodity broker in Lamar, Colorado, and Omaha, Nebraska, before returning to Chickasha to join his father and brothers in Ford Energy Corporation. He was a past board member of Southwest Youth and Family Services and past president of the Board of Chickasha Gold and Country Club. Jimmy's interest were in horses, collecting western memorabilia, golf and hunting. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aileen and Ernest Hulsey and R. H. and Frances Ford. He is survived by his beloved daughters: Jennifer Aileen Ford and Kelsey Kristine Ford, and the mother of his daughters: Pamela Ford; his parents: Jim and Emma Laura Ford, all of Chickasha; three brothers and their wives: Rick and Tami Ford, Mike and Susan Ford both of Chickasha, and Craig and Jeris Ford of Broken Arrow; he had nine nieces and nephews whom he loved and enjoyed: Brandon and Stephanie Ford of Broken Arrow, Matthew, Erik and Andrew Ford, Caroline, Alexander, William and Harrison Ford, all of Chickasha; one aunt, Jean Ford Stewart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one uncle: Ralph F. Ford of Ardmore; one great aunt: Mrs. Everett Hulsey of Chickasha; three cousins and their families, James T. Stewart of Norcross, Georgia, Thomas Ford Stewart of Shreveport. Louisiana, and William Ford of Wichita, Kansas; a family who gave him love and support his entire life are Patricia and Bill Shultz and their four sons and their families. The family requests memorials to Southwest Youth and Family Services, Make A Wish Foundation or the charity of your choice. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
