Lorraine Venable Pearcy Franks Funeral service for M. Lorraine Venable Pearcy Franks, 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2003, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. M. Lorraine Venable Pearcy Franks was born May 20, 1919, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles E. and Frances (Hopkins) Venable, and died December 9, 2003, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She and Bob Pearcy were married September 25, 1937, and he preceded her in death January 27, 1968. She later married Hilbern "Bud" Franks April 26, 1972, and he preceded her in death January 11, 1998. Lorraine worked as a nurse's aide and ward clerk at Grady Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of Eastern Star and was a member of the Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by: parents, Charles and Frances Venable; 2 brothers: Bill Venable and Jerry Venable; 2 sisters: Bernadine Elliott and Betty Bob Venable; daughter-in-law, Elsie Pearcy; stepdaughter, Bonnie Baxter. Survivors include: 4 sons: Robert Pearcy of Chickasha, Jim Pearcy of Chickasha, Dick Pearcy and wife, Hazel, of Chickasha, Chuck Pearcy and wife, Brenda, of Chickasha; 2 daughters: Trenda Hughes and husband, Melvin, of Chickasha, Thaylia Zurline and husband, Bill, of Maysville; 2 sisters: Carol Uffen of Oklahoma City, Ada Mae Mayo and husband, Gene, of Chickasha; stepchildren: George Franks and wife, Joan, of Chickasha, Edna Long of Oklahoma City; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Santa's Work Shop, P.O. Box 1539, Chickasha, OK 73023.
