LaVerta Inez Guffee was born October 21, 1927, in Oleta, Oklahoma, and died Thursday, May 26, 2005, in Marlow. Services will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home, Chickasha. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 27 May 2005 LOVERTIA INEZ GUFFEE Funeral services for Lovertia Inez Guffee, 77, of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at the Hilltop Church of God, in Marlow. Rev. G. W. Howard will officiate. Lovertia Inez Guffee was born the daughter of Harley Chadrick and Arlissa Thornton Chadrick on October 25, 1927, in Soper, Oklahoma, and died Thursday, May 26, 2005, in Marlow. Inez grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma, but lived most of her adult life in the Caddo-Grady County area. For much of her life, she did farm work. However, the most important thing in her life was her family. She was a loving mother that was devoted to her family. Inez was a member of the Hilltop Church of God in Marlow. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Hazel Wheeler, five brothers, Floyd, Odys, Lillard, Kenneth and Cecil, one daughter, Della Palmertree, and her husband, Calvin Guffee. Survivors include six sons, Carl, Donnie, Tommy, James, Bobby and Larry Guffee; three daughters, Mary Bentley, Rosa Nuckols, and Sharon Grim; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Duke and Linda Thompson; stepfather, Henry Sanders; three brothers, Charles, Leroy and Rocky Chadrick; grandchildren, Delina, Lee, Teddy, Stormy, Curtis, Lee, Lisa, Jamie, Bryan, Tammy, Brandi, Tina, April, Jeremy, Justin, Dustin, Casey, Heather and Nicky, Courtney, Kim, Michael, Charles, Robbie, Wayne, Larry, Shirley, Barbara, and Billy; as well as numberous great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Carnegie Cemetery in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
