Lena Rilla Gibson was born April 24, 1916, and died on Monday, Jan. 26, 2004. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. ========= Tuttle Times 28 January 2004 LENA RILLA GIBSON Funeral service for Lena Rilla Gibson, 87, of Tuttle, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at the Sowers Memorial Chapel, Tuttle. Lena Rilla Gibson was born April 24, 1916 in Tabler, Okla., the daughter of Marion Luther and Florence Alger (Barnes) Givens and died Jan. 26, 2004 in Tuttle. She and Ray W. Gibson were married April 20, 1933 in Tuttle. He preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Gibson worked on a farm and at the Caldwell's Locker Plant of Tuttle. She was also a cook at Grady Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gibson enjoyed quilting, gardening and needlework. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Blanchard and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Freewill Baptist Church of Bridge Creek. Mrs. Gibson was also preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Florence Givens; one daughter, Joy McClain; two brothers, Charlie Givens and Tom Givens; and three sisters, Willie Meek, Lillie Roberts, and Nettie Barrett. Survivors include one daughter, Alma Lee Johnson of Tuttle; one son and his wife, Ray Eugene and Janice Gibson of Tuttle; one sister, Anna Newton of Oracle, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
