Park, OK, April 27, 1908. She was the second of eight children born to Morris and Minnie Nichols. She went to be with her Lord October 22, 2002. In 1944, she married Jay Gitthens of Chickasha, OK. They had one daughter, Carolyn Jane. Addie Mae worked as a beauty operator in Chickasha for many years. In 1973, she retired and moved to Oklahoma City to be near her family. Addie worked for her sister in the food service at FAA. She joined the First United Methodist Church where she was a loyal and faithful member. Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Jay, her parents, two sisters, three brothers, and her son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Hamilton; her sister and caregiver, Beatrice Stephens of Oklahoma City; her brother and sister-in-law, Maxine and Morris Nichols of Rush Springs; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church of Oklahoma City.
