Donnie was born to Tony and Ruby (Manuel) Galindo, on Sep. 25, 1946, in Anadarko, Okla. He graduated from Anadarko High School and attended Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. He married Bettie Sink on July 1, 1966, in Anadarko, Okla. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a lab technician for eight years, before starting his own plumbing business B & D Plumbing with his stepfather. He owned and operated the Country Corner Drive through in Anadarko. The high light of his life were his children and grandchildren whether it was baby sitting, attending basketball and soccer games, or horse and livestock shows. Whatever they were involved in, he was always there for them. Survivors are Bettie Galindo, of the home; two daughters, Deanna Mclemore, and her husband Jerry, of Anadarko, Okla., and Marnie Hackney, and her husband Jeff, of Anadarko, Okla.; four grandchildren, Shantel Mclemore, Brennen Mclemore, Cobey Mclemore, and Mason Hackney; his mother, Ruby (Manuel) Galindo; one sister, Mary Ellen Holken, and her husband Don, of Alvin, Tex.; two stepbrothers, Ron Ferguson, and his wife Sandy, of Iowa Park, Tex., and Billy Ferguson, and his wife Paula, of Chickasha, Okla.; two sister-in-laws, Phyllis Courtney, and her husband Glenn, of Ft. Cobb, Okla., and Charlette Williams, and her husband Richard, of Anadarko, Okla.; his mother-in-law, Goldie Sink, of Anadarko, Okla., and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Tony R. Galindo; stepfather, Bull Ferguson; and his father-in-law, Ray Sink. Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Anadarko, Okla., with Rev. Joe Howard officiating. Services are under the direction of the Smith-Hackney Funeral Home.
