Gann Funeral services for Norman E. Gann, 77, of Chickasha, will be held Sunday, April 7, 2002, at 2:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alvin McConnell officiating. Norman E. Gann was born November 21, 1924, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, the son of James Huey Gann and Mabel Norman Gann. Norman went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2002, in Chickasha. Norman grew up in the Ninnekah area, living there all his life except one year spent in Barstow, CA. He attended Ninnekah public schools graduating from Ninnekah High School, where he lettered in basketball, baseball and track. Norman married Mary Coggin in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He was a farmer most of his life until he retired and moved into Chickasha due to health problems in 1985. Norman loved all kinds of sports, refereeing basketball for fifteen years. Norman was a man that came from the country and was very proud to have been a farmer, as was evident by the time he spent taking care of his yard. He will be greatly missed by his family and f[r]iends, leaving a void that can never be filled. Norman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ninnekah. He was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers, Wendell, Aubrey, JR and Melbourne Gann, and one sister, Mildred Gann Berry. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Mary, of the home; one daughter, Norma Lou White, of Alexandria, VA; one brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Betty Gann, of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Paul Dahl, of Hot Springs, AR; one grandson and his wife, Gregory Lynn and Danielle White, of Indianapolis, IN; and two great grandchildren, Allen and Amy White, of Indianapolis, IN. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
