Betty Ann Hurst Gunning was born in Chickasha, and died on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 19 October 2003 BETTY HURST GUNNING Graveside service for Betty Ann Hurst Gunning, formerly of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2003, in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Jim Sheerer will officiate. Betty Ann was born the daughter of George Everette Hurst and Velma Myers Hurst in Chickasha. She died on October 12, 2003, in Dawson, Georgia. Betty grew up in Chickasha. She attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. Betty has lived in Dawson, Georgia, since 1990. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson and the Terrell County Historical Society. Betty was a retired antique dealer and florist. She was also an apartment owner and manager. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David Brent Gunning. Survivors include: husband, Richard Gunning of Dawson, Georgia; son, Robert Gunning of Stafford, Virginia; son, James Gunning of Hendersonville, North Carolina; daughter, Amy DeBusk of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Rhonda Gunning of Greenville, South Carolina; daughter, Christine Gunning of Greenville, South Carolina; ten grandchildren. Services will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Viewing will begin on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children Home, in care of Mrs. Betty Ann Hurst Gunning, P.
