Arnold Leroy Grossnicklaus was born September 17, 1940, in Hinton, Oklahoma. He passed away October 4, 2004, while working. Arnold moved to Chickasha in 1962. He married Marjorie Stockton Hurley on November 3, 1962. Arnold found fulfillment in life with the time spent with his family which he loved. His joy was time spent with his grandsons as their "Poppy." He enjoyed his work as a welder and fabricator for 32 1/2 years with Chickasha Manufacturing Company, Inc. He was then able to travel through many states at his leisure, but couldn't bring himself to full retirement. He loved challenges in working with his hobby truck. Many of us will remember him saying, "Remember I care" or "Remember I love you!" He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Goldie Grossnicklaus; two brothers, Fred and Frank Grossnicklaus; and one son, Michael Lee Grossnicklaus. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Beth Grossnicklaus of the home; two sons, Brett Ray Hurley and Linda Scott of Amber, and Jay Douglas and daughter-in-law Robin Lyn Grossnicklaus of Ninnekah; grandsons, Jacob Lane and Clayton Charles Grossnicklaus of Ninnekah; four sisters, Dorothy Hansen of Murray, Utah, Charlene and Charles Eroh of Crossville, Tennessee, Goldie Lavesta Bautista of Mission, Texas, and Caroline Jean Smith of Verden, Oklahoma; one brother, Charley Dewain and Joyce Grossnicklaus of Rush Springs, Oklahoma; as well as several nieces, nephews and families. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
