The Verden News

Elizabeth Garrett died at the home of her son, W. C. Garrett, two miles 
north and two east of Verden, on Tuesday morning, September 30, aged 83 
years.

Deceased was born in Houston county, Georgia, January 16, 1830.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 1st, by Rev. John H. 
Scott of the M. E. church in Verden and the remains were laid to rest in 
the Verden cemetery.
