Otis Dee Garrett
 
Otis Dee Garrett, 74, of Amarillo, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999. 

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Canyon Hills Church of 
Christ. Additional arrangements will be by Laurel Land Funeral Home of 
Fort Worth.

Mr. Garrett was born and raised in Rush Springs, Okla. 

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Hawaii as a tail gunner. 
He retired from Bell Helicopter at Fort Worth in 1986 and moved to 
Amarillo. He was a member of Canyon Hills Church of Christ.

He married Vida Lucille Metcalf in 1942 at Frederick, Okla. She died June 
1998.

Survivors include two children, Marion Thompson of Amarillo and Gene 
Garrett of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Christian Relief Fund, Box 19670, 
Amarillo, TX 79114-1670 or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life 
Enrichment Center, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
