Brown Gordon, 63, died Saturday, June 5, at a local hospital. She was born May 11, 1941, in Oakland, Calif., to Carl and Elouise (Haig) Brown. She attended schools in Chickasa and Mobile, Ala. She was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Gordon; a brother, Johnny Mac Brown; and her parents. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Amie Gordon of Shawnee, Charles Jr. and Renee Gordon of Bremerton, Wash., and David Gordon of Covington, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dale Sanders of Lawton; five grandchildren, C.K. Gordon, John Gordon Jr., Aaron Sanders, Nicole Gordon and Ashley Sanders; four sisters, JoAnne Cotton of Saraland, Ala., Shirley Haskew of Saraland, Ala., Beverly Newburn of Citronelle, Ala., and Dorothy Miles of Prichard, Ala.; two brothers, Ronald "Butch" Brown of Mora, Minn., and Paul "Buddy" Brown of Tallahassee, Fla. Services were 10 a.m. Monday at the Central Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Henry, associate pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee, officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Cemetery in Citronelle, Ala., under the direction of Ascension Funeral Home, Mobile, Ala.
