MOLLIE GARNER PASSED AWAY AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS Mrs. Mollie S. Garner passed away at her home here last Friday morning, September 29 after a brief illness. She had been in declining health for some time, when she took seriously ill the day before she passed on with stomach trouble. Mrs. Garner was born in Ripley, Miss, November 20, 1868, and died September 29, 1933, at the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 9 days. She was united in marriage with John M. Garner at the age of 16 years and to this union was born 9 children, 5 of whom have preceded her in death and 4 now living. Mr. Garner passed away in 1927. Mrs. Garner was loved by all who knew her, she was a kind loving mother and neighbor. She has resided in Verden a number of years and before Mr. Garner's death they operated a grocery store in Verden. She leaves to survive her departure, Guss Garner of Greeley, Colo., Edgar Garner of Rickland, N. C., Mrs. Virgie Gill of Chickasha, Okla., Lawrence Garner of Verden, 28 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends.
