All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 10 August 2004 JESSE SAMUEL HEFNER Jesse Samuel Hefner went to meet his Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on August 8, 2004, after a lengthy illness. He was born on 5/26/29 to Maude and P. B. Hefner in Minco, Oklahoma. Jesse was in the Oklahoma National Guard's 45th Infantry Division from January 1948 to August 1950 and was called to active duty in the United States Army in September 1950, where he served in Japan until December 1951. He received an honorable discharge in September 1954. His parents, two sisters and two brothers preceded Jesse in death. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Jean (Walker) Hefner, son Rodney Hefner of Celeste, TX, daughter Lisa Miller of Sand Springs, OK, three granddaughters: Cassandra Miller of Sand Springs, OK, and Ashley and Kelly Hefner of La Grange, TX; grandson Patrick Miller of Sand Springs, OK; three sisters; Inez Adams of El Reno, OK, Lela V. Savage of Oklahoma City, OK, Rosemary Marlett of Binger, OK; and many nieced and nephews.
