Freida Louise Hicks

Funeral service for Freida Louise Schnare Hicks, 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma 
will be held at 1100 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2000, at the Grand Assembly 
of God Church.

Freida Louise Hicks was born January 26, 1927, in Waxahachie, Texas, the 
daughter of Charles “Pete” and Maude Anna (Dunn) Schnare and died Sunday, 
August 20, 2000, at her home.

She attended Baylor University School of Nursing.

She and Edward V. Hicks were married May 26, 1946, in Brownwood, Texas. They 
came to Chickasha in 1952. Mrs. Hicks worked at C.R. Anthony at Chickasha.

She was a member of the Grand Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by parents; infant brother.

Survivors include husband Edward V. Hicks of the home; 2 sons and 
daughters-in-law Ed and Irene Hicks of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Mike and Leah 
Hicks of Duncan, Oklahoma; 1 daughter Mary Lister of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 5 
grandchildren Jason Hicks and wife, Marla, Joe Hicks and wife, Cindy, Sarah 
Hicks, Brook Lister and wife, Shelley, Carie Dwyer and husband, Chris; 7 
great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier 
Funeral Home.
