August 12, 1952, following a brief illness. She was 81 years of age at death. She was the wife of James W. Hayes, who preceded her in death in 1947. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were married many years ago in Falls county, Texas and came to Caddo county, Okla. in 1922, having moved there from Garvin county, Okla. They later moved to Verden where they lived several years. She is survived by one son, Robert of Cogar, Okla. and one daughter, Mrs. Rose Merlin of Okla. City; 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 13 at 2:30 p. m. in the Pentecostal Church of God, Verden, with the pastor, Rev. L. J. Morse, officiating. Burial was in the Verden cemetery.
