All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Star 20 April 1989 OPAL MAY HOOK Services for Opal May Hook, age 72, of Verden, were held Thursday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Verden with Rev. Roy Lind, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Lexington, officiating. Mrs. Hook was born November 9, 1916 in Verden, the daughter of William C. Longenecker and Pearl Sigmon Longenecker, and died April 20, 1989 at Verden. She married Floyd Hook on August 17, 1952 inWichita Falls, Texas. Mrs. Hook lived in Big Piney, Wyoming, from 1961 until 1973 when she returned to Verden. She had worked at the Dixie Store until her retirement several years ago. Mrs. Hook was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Earl Longenecker. Mrs. Hook is survived by her husband, Floyd Hook of the home; two sons, Terryll Hook of Clinton, and George Hook of Big Piney, Wyoming; one sister, Margaret Turner of Durant and seven grandchildren.
